Introduction to Algebraic Topology Research Schedule
Abstract:
Topology is a vibrant area of mathematics that is at the forefront of mathematical research. It is roughly the study of properties of shapes the stay the same under smooth deformations. In this course, students will learn the basics of topology, learning about (2-dimensional) manifolds, algebra, and algebraic topology. Upon mastering these ideas, students will be ready for elementary introductory problems in mathematical research in these fields.
